Acceptable Use Policy

Rules for content, conduct, and resource use on our network.

Last updated: April 27, 2026

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules that apply to any use of AmzHost services on amzhost.pk. It is incorporated into our Terms of Service and applies to you, your end-users, your resold customers, and anyone you allow to access the services. The AUP exists to keep the network safe, lawful, and fair to every customer.

2. Prohibited Content

You must not use the services to host, store, transmit, link to, or otherwise make available:

  • Content that is illegal under the law of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan or under the law of any jurisdiction your content targets
  • Content that violates the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016 (PECA), the applicable Penal Code, or rules issued by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA)
  • Pornography, sexually explicit material, escort/dating services, or material exploiting minors in any form (zero tolerance)
  • Content that promotes terrorism, extremism, hate, racism, sectarianism, or violence
  • Content that defames, harasses, threatens, or invades the privacy of any person
  • Pirated software, “warez,” nulled scripts, cracked themes/plugins, key generators, or links to such material
  • Material that infringes copyright, trademark, patent, trade-secret, or other intellectual-property rights
  • Phishing pages, fake login forms, scam pages, fraudulent shops, or any deceptive content designed to harvest credentials or money
  • Malware, viruses, trojans, ransomware, rootkits, spyware, exploit kits, or any tool designed to damage, gain unauthorised access to, or surveil computer systems
  • Gambling, casino, betting, or lottery services unless you hold the licences required under the law of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and have written approval from us
  • Pharmaceutical sales, controlled substances, weapons, or other regulated goods sold without lawful authorisation
  • Pyramid schemes, multi-level-marketing fraud, fake investment products, or HYIP sites
  • Open proxies, anonymisers, free VPN endpoints, or TOR exit nodes on shared infrastructure
  • IRC servers, IRC bots, or services that join external IRC networks on shared infrastructure

3. Prohibited Conduct

You must not, and must not allow anyone else to:

  • Launch, participate in, or facilitate denial-of-service (DoS / DDoS) attacks against any host on or off our network
  • Perform port scanning, vulnerability scanning, brute-force attacks, password cracking, or unauthorised penetration testing of systems you do not own or have written permission to test
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, server, network, or data
  • Forge headers, IP addresses, hostnames, or otherwise impersonate any person or system
  • Run cryptocurrency miners, mining pools, mining proxies, or staking nodes on shared, reseller, or unmanaged VPS plans without our prior written consent
  • Run public BitTorrent trackers, peer-to-peer file-sharing services, or distribute infringing files via P2P on any plan
  • Run public game servers, voice servers, or media-streaming services on shared hosting plans
  • Operate AI-training scrapers, mass HTTP scrapers, or any tool that places abnormal load on third-party sites from our network
  • Resell AmzHost services without using a reseller plan or other product designed for that purpose
  • Take any action that risks placing our IP space on a real-time blocklist (RBL) or causing an upstream provider to null-route our network

4. Email and Anti-Spam

Email is the most common source of network abuse. The following rules apply to every customer:

  • You must not send unsolicited bulk email (UBE), unsolicited commercial email (UCE), or any form of spam from or through our network
  • Bulk and marketing email is allowed only to recipients who have given verifiable, recorded opt-in consent and only after our pre-approval; we may require you to use a dedicated SMTP relay or third-party email service provider for high-volume sending
  • Outbound email must use our SMTP services or an approved third-party SMTP relay; direct outbound on port 25 may be blocked by default
  • Every commercial message must identify the sender, include a valid physical address, and offer a one-click unsubscribe that is honoured within ten (10) days
  • Mailing lists must be managed with confirmed opt-in (double opt-in) and must keep auditable consent records
  • You are responsible for the conduct of any third party you allow to send mail using your account
  • You must comply with applicable anti-spam laws including PECA s.25 and applicable PTA spam regulations, the EU GDPR / ePrivacy rules, the US CAN-SPAM Act, and the Canadian CASL
  • Mail bombing, mailing-list bombing, header forgery, sender spoofing, and use of harvested or purchased lists are strictly prohibited

We reserve the right to charge an administrative fee of up to USD 100 per spam message sent to or through our network and to recover any costs incurred in investigating or responding to spam complaints, RBL listings, or upstream abuse notices.

5. Resource Use and Fair Use

Shared and reseller hosting plans run on multi-tenant servers and are designed for normal website use. Resources advertised as “unlimited” or “unmetered” are subject to fair-use limits intended to protect other customers on the same server.

Without limiting the generality of the above, the following indicative limits apply to shared and reseller hosting unless your plan documents say otherwise:

  • CPU: a single account must not sustain more than 1 vCPU for extended periods
  • RAM: a single account must not sustain more than 1–2 GB of memory
  • Entry processes / concurrent connections: as set in cPanel / DirectAdmin per plan
  • Inodes (files and directories): typically 250,000–500,000 per cPanel account
  • Database size: a single database must not exceed 1 GB; large databases must be hosted on a VPS
  • MySQL queries: must not sustain long-running or unindexed queries that block other tenants
  • Cron jobs: minimum interval of 15 minutes; no cron-driven mass mail or scraping
  • Backups: account-level backups stored on the hosting account count towards your disk quota; off-site copies must be stored elsewhere

If your account exceeds resource limits we may apply automatic throttling, ask you to optimise the affected workload, suspend the account temporarily, or require you to upgrade to a VPS, cloud, or dedicated plan. Repeated abuse of shared resources may result in termination without refund. Account suspensions triggered by “Resource Limit Reached” or “503 Resource Limit Reached” alerts will be lifted only after the underlying cause has been addressed.

6. Bandwidth and Storage

Bandwidth caps, where applied, are stated on the relevant plan page and refresh each billing cycle. Plans marked as “unmetered” bandwidth are still subject to fair use; sustained traffic above what a typical site of the plan’s size produces may require an upgrade. Hosting accounts may not be used purely as file storage, mirror sites, large-file repositories, video CDNs, image CDNs, or backup buckets for unrelated systems.

7. Network Abuse Reporting

If you believe a service hosted on our network is being used in violation of this AUP, please report it to abuse@amzhost.pk. Provide the affected domain or IP, the time of the incident (with timezone), full email headers where applicable, and any logs or screenshots. We acknowledge abuse reports within 1 business day and act on validated reports as quickly as we reasonably can.

8. Copyright and DMCA Notices

We respect intellectual-property rights and respond to take-down requests underthe United States DMCA and equivalent local notice-and-takedown procedures and equivalent international procedures. To submit a notice, send the following to abuse@amzhost.pk:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
  • The exact URL(s) of the allegedly infringing material
  • Your contact details (full name, address, phone, email)
  • A statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorised
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the rights holder
  • Your physical or electronic signature

We may forward valid notices to the customer hosting the content and remove or disable access to the affected material pending resolution. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.

9. Investigations and Monitoring

We do not routinely monitor the contents of customer accounts. We may, however, review accounts and traffic where lawfully permitted to investigate suspected violations of this AUP, respond to abuse reports, comply with court orders or lawful requests from authorities in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, or protect the security and stability of our network. We may cooperate with law enforcement and produce records when legally compelled to do so.

10. Enforcement

Enforcement is graduated where possible and severe where necessary:

  • Warning & remediation window: for first-time, non-severe issues, we will notify you and ask you to remediate within a stated window (typically 24–72 hours)
  • Suspension: if remediation does not happen, or for serious violations, the affected service is suspended pending resolution
  • Immediate suspension: for phishing, malware, child-safety violations, active spam runs, DDoS, datacenter / upstream abuse reports, or any conduct creating immediate legal or operational risk — without prior notice
  • Termination: for repeat offences, refusal to remediate, or any criminal conduct — with no refund of unused service

Termination under this AUP does not entitle you to any refund and does not limit our right to recover any costs, fines, or damages we incur because of your breach.

11. Changes

We may update this AUP at any time to address new abuse patterns, regulations, or technology. Material changes will be notified by email or by a notice on amzhost.pk at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
